Speaker 1: I am going to share my screen and show you some of the key findings that we have discovered in a 2017 online review survey, and so it’s showing that 97 percent of consumers looked online for local businesses in 2017 with 12 percent looking for local business online every day. Eighty nine percent of consumers trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations. Positive reviews make 73 percent of consumers trust a local business. More followup that set in, um, 49 percent of consumers need at least a four star rating before they choose to use a business. Never responding to reviews is just as important. It’s more important than ever with 30 percent naming this as a key when judging a local business, 68 percent of consumers left a local business review when asked and 74 percent having been asked for their feedback. So I’m very important to be asking for a review as well.
Speaker 1: You can’t just expect people who walk in and walk out or who you’re working with on a daily basis just to go and leave you a review. You’ve definitely got to ask for it when it’s earned, when it’s earned. Seventy nine percent of consumers have read a fake review in the last year, but a worry of eighty four percent can always spot them. Now, yelp and facebook are local consumers. Most trusted review sites followed by Google and [inaudible]. People are becoming less likely to visit businesses. Websites after reading positive reviews, the 17 percent drop from 2016. Now 32 percent of consumers read local reviews on mobile apps this year and that’s a growth of 14 percent from 2016. Consumers read an average of seven reviews before trusting of business and that’s up from reading six reviews last year and so the reviews are increasing. And so I just wanted to sign in real quick, kind of give you a little background about what online reviews are and the importance and why it’s important to be asking for online reviews.
