How a Moving Company Slashed 15% off Disputes and Optimized Lead Generation
A moving company approached us with a critical challenge—they were experiencing a significant amount of wasted ad spend due to unqualified leads from their Google Local Service Ads (LSA). These leads either fell outside of their service area or didn’t match the type of services they offered, leading to inefficient use of their marketing budget. Additionally, they were struggling to optimize their radius settings to reach the most relevant customers in their target locations.
At Accelerate Marketing, we began by conducting a thorough review of all incoming calls to identify leads that didn’t meet the company’s criteria, whether it was based on the customer’s location or service requirements. With this data, we were able to categorize the unqualified leads that were draining the company’s resources. We also conducted an in-depth analysis of the radius settings that had historically generated the highest number of leads within the service area. Armed with this knowledge, we took immediate action, disputing unqualified leads with Google and adjusting the radius ranges to better target areas around the business location.
The results were nothing short of impressive. By analyzing lead quality and effectively disputing unqualified leads, we helped the moving company significantly reduce wasted ad spend, saving money and enhancing the overall efficiency of their marketing efforts. Optimizing the radius setting also resulted in a major boost in lead volume, allowing the company to target customers more accurately and convert a higher percentage of leads into paying customers.
In April 2023, the company received a total of 386 leads, with 276 of those being charged leads. They spent $17,247.99 on their LSA budget, but thanks to our efforts, they were credited $5,239.13 for disputed leads, resulting in an approved dispute rate of 30.37%.
By May 2023, the improvements were even more pronounced. The company’s total leads surged to 1,120, with 781 of those being charged leads. Their ad spend increased to $58,111.02, but credits for unqualified leads jumped to $23,602.98, resulting in an approved dispute rate of 40.61%.
This case study underscores the importance of closely monitoring lead quality and optimizing radius settings in Google Local Service Ads. By focusing on these elements, businesses can save money, increase lead volume, and ultimately boost their bottom line.
